HOW IT WORKS ?
Toyota Hybrid
A Toyota Hybrid Electric vehicle is equipped with two motors: an electric motor and a gasoline engine. The car can therefore drive in all-electric mode, in thermal mode or by combining the two. The on-board computer independently manages the two engines. The battery recharges itself while driving, during the deceleration and braking phases thanks to the recovered kinetic energy.

Plug-in Hybrid
A Toyota plug-in hybrid vehicle plugs into an external socket and uses the same operating principle as the Toyota Hybrid. The higher capacity battery allows you to drive longer in all-electric mode.

100% Electric
A 100% electric vehicle, the engine is powered solely by the energy stored in a large capacity battery. The battery charges at a power outlet or charging station.

Hydrogen
A so-called fuel cell vehicle is a zero-emission electric car powered by hydrogen. Hydrogen reacts with oxygen in the air inside the fuel cell to produce electricity that powers the engine. The hydrogen is stored in one or more tanks placed under the passenger compartment. Its most revolutionary aspect? The only release resulting from the reaction is the water, which is evacuated by the exhaust pipe.

THE ELECTRIC HYBRID
- The internal combustion engine assists the electric motor.
- Energy via pipe only.
Electric Hybrid technology is the most advanced level of hybridization. The electric motor is capable of driving the vehicle alone. The car can therefore drive in all-electric mode, in thermal mode or by combining the two.
MILD HYBRID
- Energy via braking.
The combustion engine is coupled to an electric motor. Thanks to the energy recovered during the braking phases, the electric motor assists the internal combustion engine in the acceleration phases, thereby reducing CO2 emissions by 10 to 15% compared to conventional engines.

At least ten new zero-emission vehicles are expected in the next five years, of which the Toyota bZ4X is the first exclusively 100% battery-electric model developed by Toyota, offering a range of up to 513 km. Toyota's Recovery Program ensures that when electric car batteries reach the end of their life, they are handled in a safe and responsible manner. Authorized Toyota repairers currently hold more than 90% of Toyota's lithium-ion batteries with Toyota aiming to recycle more than 50% of the hybrid battery's weight.

Instead of being powered by electricity stored in a battery, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles generate their electricity via a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen present in a fuel cell.
Refueling their hydrogen tanks from a pump takes less than five minutes, and once on the road, you'll enjoy emission-free journeys that are as safe, convenient and enjoyable as in a conventional vehicle.
Clean and safe energy
Hydrogen is clean, safe and present around us. It's so common that it makes up 70% of the matter in the universe. This allows the hydrogen to be sourced locally and, if made from renewable energy, can be completely carbon free.
