Since 1994, the Argus Trophies have been an unmissable event in the automotive world. Each year, they reward the best new models in all categories. Budget for purchase and use, residual value, services, innovations, each criterion is dissected by the experts of L'Argus, in complete independence.

The 29th edition of the Argus Trophies singled out the Toyota Yaris Cross, which won the “City SUV” category. The Trophy was presented to Xavier Bartone, Commercial Performance Director of Toyota France during a ceremony presented by Margot Laffite, on February 17 in Paris.

Designed for Europe and produced in France, the Yaris Cross combines Toyota's experience and know-how in design and engineering for city cars and SUVs.

The Yaris Cross thus has all the qualities of the Yaris: interior space and practicality, an excellent level of safety with the second generation Toyota Safety Sense safety pack and authentic driving pleasure.

A new major award after the Car of the Year in Europe award obtained in 2021 by the Yaris

Launched in 2021, and developed specifically for European customers, the Toyota Yaris Cross is the result of Toyota's experience and know-how in the design and development of small cars and SUVs.

The Yaris Cross follows in the footsteps of the Yaris, from which it takes up key qualities such as the "Big-Small" architecture which maximizes interior space and functionality, the fourth generation self-charging hybrid engine, the higher with the second-generation Toyota Safety Sense equipment package and the "Fun to Drive" character.

These unique attributes are associated in the Yaris Cross with authentic SUV characteristics, the fruit of Toyota's unique experience in this segment created more than 25 years ago with the first Toyota RAV4.

Developed on the theme of "Always on the Move", the Yaris Cross is perfectly suited to everyday use, but its character also lends itself to adventure (notably thanks to its optional intelligent AWD-i four-wheel drive), an essential quality for a successful SUV. The design is sleek and urban for a car that combines rugged SUV strengths with dynamic driving pleasure thanks to Toyota's small car GA-B platform proven in the Yaris.
